Casino - Autism Service Dog
Submitted By: ErinCorrado
I am currently working on a documentary about Autism service dogs - more info on that project can be found here: http://erincorrado.wordpress.c om/untitled-documentary%C2%A0p roject/
Since the dogs are so gorgeous, I wanted to profile an image of one of them for this contest. The above is not from my documentary, but is a picture I'd taken at the Geneva Centre for Autism Symposium 2010.
At the conference, Autism Dog Services (http://www.autismdogservices. ca/wp/) had a booth there with information as well as a couple of their lovely dogs. This picture is of Casino, one of the (then) puppies-in-training. I believe she is now placed with a family.
The original dimensions of the photo are 3264 x 1840. The image was taken with a Canon video camera on the still images manual setting.
For anyone interested, more technical info is below.

Thanks to everyone who supported and voted for me in Round 1! :)

I'd meant to include this description as part of the entry, but ran out of room - "As well as being loyal friends, service dogs of all kinds can help bring visibility to otherwise invisible disabilities, allowing for greater acceptance."

The links in the description don't work, but the site is probably designed to not allow them. For anyone trying to follow them, you can get the info on my documentary project by clicking the link in my FilmPossible profile, and for Autism Dog Services (where Casino was trained), visit www.autismdogservices.ca
